This is an exciting opportunity for a Staff Mobile Engineer to play a foundational role in shaping and building a modern, mobile-first platform from the ground up. You’ll lead architecture decisions, build high-performance applications, and help define the future mobile experience across iOS and Android for a rapidly evolving product ecosystem.

What You’ll Be Doing

Mobile Architecture & Platform Development

  • Lead architecture and development of next-generation mobile applications across iOS and Android
  • Design and build scalable, high-performance mobile experiences supporting a growing user base
  • Help define long-term mobile architecture, framework strategy, reusable components, and engineering standards
  • Build seamless integrations with APIs, backend systems, and platform services

Product Innovation & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Product, Design, Backend, AI, and Frontend teams to rapidly develop and release new experiences
  • Contribute to highly iterative product development focused on speed, experimentation, and user experience
  • Collaborate across teams to balance product innovation with scalability, maintainability, and performance

Technical Leadership & Engineering Excellence

  • Lead technical initiatives and influence architecture decisions across mobile engineering efforts
  • Mentor engineers and help foster a culture centered around ownership, speed, experimentation, and technical excellence
  • Contribute to engineering best practices, workflows, and technical standards as the organization scales

AI-Enabled Mobile Experiences

  • Help shape intelligent, AI-first mobile experiences and modern mobile interaction patterns
  • Leverage AI-assisted engineering workflows to improve development speed and product innovation

Qualifications

Required

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with deep mobile development expertise
  • Strong experience building and scaling mobile applications across iOS and Android
  • Experience leading mobile architecture decisions and technical initiatives
  • Strong understanding of mobile performance, APIs, integrations, and scalable application architecture
  • Experience collaborating closely with Product, UX, Backend, and Frontend teams
  • Strong communication, mentoring, and cross-functional leadership skills
  • Ability to thrive in evolving, fast-paced environments

Preferred

  • Experience in startup, high-growth, or greenfield product environments
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering workflows and modern development tooling
  • Experience shaping long-term mobile strategy and platform direction

Helpful Technical Experience

Experience with some combination of:

  • React Native
  • Flutter
  • Native iOS or Android development
  • REST and/or GraphQL APIs
  • AWS
  • CI/CD and mobile deployment workflows

Current mobile development is primarily centered around React Native, though this organization values adaptability and welcomes candidates who can help shape future-state architecture and mobile strategy.
