This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Sales Engineer who enjoys sitting at the intersection of technology, enterprise sales, product, and customer strategy. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical acumen, executive presence, and experience supporting complex enterprise sales cycles.

Position Overview

The Senior Sales Engineer will serve as a key technical advisor throughout the sales process, partnering closely with Account Executives, Product, Security, Professional Services, and Engineering teams. This individual will help prospects understand the company’s platform, integration capabilities, APIs, and overall technical value proposition.

This is not a scripted demo role. The company is looking for someone who can understand complex customer environments, identify technical needs and roadblocks, and craft tailored solutions that support large enterprise opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the technical aspects of the enterprise sales cycle
  • Partner closely with Account Executives as a technical co-pilot and trusted advisor
  • Lead discovery conversations to understand customer systems, needs, and integration requirements
  • Build and deliver customized product demonstrations
  • Explain API, webhook, integration, security, and compliance considerations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for prospects and customers during the sales process
  • Support enterprise RFPs and technical questionnaires
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to share market feedback and influence roadmap priorities
  • Create enablement content and resources for the broader go-to-market team
  • Mentor and support peers as the team continues to grow

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will bring a rare combination of technical depth and enterprise customer-facing experience. This person should be comfortable working with technical buyers, business stakeholders, executives, and internal cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Solutions Architect, or similar pre-sales role
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level clients and complex sales cycles
  • Strong understanding of APIs, webhooks, and app-based integrations
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to manage technical sales processes with minimal supervision
  • Experience supporting large enterprise RFPs
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and energized by winning strategic deals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in fintech, embedded finance, payments infrastructure, payroll technology, HR tech, or workforce technology
  • Experience selling into or working with gig marketplaces, vertical SaaS platforms, or enterprise workforce-related environments
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity, risk, regulatory, and compliance considerations
  • Experience with at least one modern programming language such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or C#
  • Experience working closely with Product, Engineering, Security, and Implementation teams

  • Base salary up to $150K
  • Total OTE approximately $175K–$180K
