This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Backend Engineer to help build the core backend systems powering a modern software platform from the ground up. You’ll play a key role in designing scalable services, building APIs, solving platform integration challenges, and helping rapidly deliver new product functionality in a highly collaborative environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

Backend Development & Platform Engineering

  • Design and build scalable backend systems supporting a next-generation software platform
  • Develop APIs, integrations, and distributed backend services that enable high-performance, scalable user experiences
  • Help solve platform integration, authentication, and shared data challenges across multiple products
  • Contribute directly to greenfield platform development and rapid product iteration

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Product, AI, Mobile, Frontend, and Data teams to rapidly develop and release new functionality
  • Collaborate with engineering leadership on architecture decisions, technical standards, and development best practices
  • Contribute to technical planning and problem solving across evolving product initiatives

AI-Enabled Engineering & Innovation

  • Leverage modern AI-assisted engineering workflows to improve speed, experimentation, and development efficiency
  • Help balance rapid product delivery with long-term scalability, maintainability, and performance

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of backend software engineering experience
  • Strong experience building scalable backend services, APIs, and distributed systems
  • Strong understanding of backend architecture, integrations, and data modeling
  • Experience working in highly collaborative, cross-functional engineering environments
  • Strong communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly across evolving technologies and architectures

Preferred

  • Experience in startup, high-growth, or fast-paced product environments
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering workflows and modern developer tooling
  • Experience contributing to platform architecture and technical decision-making
