Overview
We are partnering with a global leader in industrial equipment and processing technology to hire a Sales Account Manager responsible for growing an established portfolio of customers while developing new business across the U.S.
This is a mid-level technical sales opportunity focused on complex capital equipment, complete production systems, aftermarket solutions, upgrades, and technical services. The position will work primarily with customers in food and process manufacturing, partnering with engineering, operations, maintenance, purchasing, and executive stakeholders to identify opportunities and develop technically and commercially sound solutions.
The role offers the best of both account management and business development: approximately 60%–70% of the focus will be on managing and expanding existing customers, with 30%–40% dedicated to developing new business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically credible salesperson who enjoys complex, consultative selling and wants to represent an established global organization with a broad portfolio of equipment, services, and engineering capabilities.

- Understand customer manufacturing requirements and recommend appropriate technical and commercial solutions
- Lead complex, long-cycle capital-equipment and engineered-solution sales
- Prepare and deliver quotations, proposals, tenders, and technical presentations

- Establish technical credibility with engineering and operational stakeholders without needing to be the deepest technical expert in the room
Cross-Functional Project Leadership
- Coordinate with engineering, estimating, design, production, purchasing, quality, accounting, and service teams throughout the sales process
- Bring the appropriate technical resources into customer discussions as opportunities develop
- Coordinate pre-sales activities and ensure a successful transition into implementation and aftermarket support
- Maintain accurate CRM activity, forecasts, account plans, trip reports, and sales documentation
