We are partnering with a well-established, multidisciplinary professional services firm seeking a Project Architect - Team Lead to join a growing architectural team. This individual will play a key role in leading project development, design, and delivery efforts while partnering closely with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality architectural solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced architect who enjoys balancing client relationships, project leadership, technical design, and team collaboration while contributing to a wide variety of commercial, governmental, educational, industrial, and institutional projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

Project Development & Client Management

  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand project goals, priorities, and long-term objectives
  • Develop creative and practical architectural solutions aligned with client needs
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle

Project Management & Team Leadership

  • Lead project teams by assigning responsibilities, establishing timelines, and monitoring progress
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing project environment across internal teams and stakeholders
  • Manage multiple projects while balancing scope, schedule, quality, and client expectations

Architectural Design & Coordination

  • Lead and coordinate architectural design efforts from early planning through project completion
  • Participate in facility assessments, programming, and design development activities
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support successful project execution

Project Delivery & Construction Coordination

  • Support project delivery including bidding, negotiations, and contract development
  • Coordinate contract administration and construction management efforts for mid- to high-complexity projects
  • Ensure successful execution during construction through collaboration with project stakeholders

Qualifications

Required

  • 10+ years of architectural experience
  • 5+ years of recent project management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (or equivalent experience)
  • Active Wisconsin architectural license or ability to obtain licensure
  • Experience leading projects across commercial, governmental, educational, industrial, or similar environments
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills

Preferred

  • Experience with Revit (2+ years preferred)
  • Proposal development, contract negotiation, and client management experience
  • Experience leading and winning project pursuits and proposals
  • Multi-state licensure or ability to obtain licensure in additional states
