This is a unique opportunity for an Engineering Manager to help shape a modern platform from the ground up while leading highly focused engineering teams responsible for core backend systems, platform modernization, and rapid product innovation.

Key Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership & Team Development
- Lead multiple engineering teams focused on platform development and product innovation
- Mentor and develop engineers while fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning
- Help establish engineering best practices, standards, and development workflows
- Support hiring, coaching, and performance development initiatives as the organization scales
Technical Execution & Platform Development
- Drive execution and delivery across backend systems, platform initiatives, and technical roadmaps
- Contribute hands-on to architecture, technical problem solving, and engineering direction
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, Data, Mobile, and Frontend Engineering to rapidly ship new capabilities
- Balance speed of execution with scalability, maintainability, and long-term platform health
AI-Enabled Product Innovation
- Help shape and implement modern AI-assisted engineering workflows and development practices
- Contribute to the design of intelligent, automation-driven product experiences
- Support a highly iterative product environment focused on experimentation and rapid learning
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with leadership and product stakeholders to align engineering execution with business priorities
- Help navigate ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and adapt to changing product needs
Qualifications
Required
- 6+ years of software engineering experience
- 2+ years of engineering leadership, technical leadership, or people management experience
- Strong backend systems and software architecture expertise
- Experience building scalable distributed systems, APIs, and platform infrastructure
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and drive execution across teams
- Strong communication, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred
- Experience in startup, high-growth, or fast-paced product environments
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows and emerging engineering tools
- Experience with cloud-native systems and modern backend technologies
Helpful Technical Experience
Exposure to some combination of:
- Backend languages such as Rust, Python, Node.js, or Go
- Cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
- Relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar)
- Modern frontend ecosystems and APIs
