Overview

We are partnering with a growing industrial manufacturing organization seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Sales & Marketing to lead commercial strategy, team development, and revenue growth initiatives across multiple product lines and business units.

This individual will work closely with executive leadership to drive market expansion, strengthen customer relationships, and align sales, marketing, and product management functions to support long-term organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Strategy & Business Growth

  • Develop and execute company-wide commercial strategies aligned with organizational growth objectives
  • Monitor performance metrics, market trends, and business opportunities to drive revenue growth and market expansion
  • Partner with executive leadership on strategic planning, forecasting, and organizational initiatives
  • Support go-to-market planning, product launches, and customer engagement strategies

Sales & Marketing Leadership

  • Lead and support sales, marketing, and product management teams across multiple business units
  • Ensure alignment between commercial execution, customer needs, and company objectives
  • Translate strategic goals into actionable sales and marketing initiatives
  • Drive accountability, performance management, and team development initiatives

Team Development & Organizational Leadership

  • Mentor and develop team members with a focus on leadership growth and long-term career development
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture centered on accountability and continuous improvement
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and performance evaluation processes
  • Participate in budgeting, resource planning, and cross-functional decision-making efforts

Customer & Market Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with customers, partners, and key stakeholders
  • Support strategic negotiations and major business development opportunities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, finance, and product teams to optimize customer experience and business performance

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of professional experience in sales, marketing, engineering, or a related field
  • 4+ years of sales leadership or commercial management experience
  • Experience leading teams within a B2B manufacturing, industrial equipment, or engineered products environment
  • Proven success developing and executing sales growth strategies
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills

Preferred

  • Experience overseeing multi-functional commercial organizations
  • Background working closely with product management and new product development teams
  • Experience with CRM systems, forecasting tools, and KPI reporting dashboards
